Viz Media Europe has acquired the distribution rights for the second season of “My Hero Academia” across the EMEA region (excluding the U.K. and Nordic regions).

Under the terms of the agreement, the new series will be distributed via Simulcast, TV, VOD, DVD, Blu-Ray and merchandising.

“My Hero Academia” takes place in a society where 80 percent of the population possess super powers and follows Izuku Midoriya, a student who has not yet developed powers, but has decided to attend high school at the esteemed Yuei academy where all the strongest superheroes have trained.

The new season of the series will begin airing this April in Japan, which will lead to a simulcast in several countries across Europe.
