VIZ Media Europe has added two new licensees for the Japanese video game and TV series Inazuma Eleven.

Fast food chain Quick is on board for an Inazuma Eleven promotion from March 6 to April 2, and Best Bambou is creating a collection of footwear.

The TV series “Inazuma Eleven,” which is based on the video game of the same name, currently airs on Disney XD and Gulli in France. The series follows soccer goalkeeper Mark Evans as he recruits players for his football team from around the world.

Quick and Best Bambou join a growing program in France that also includes Nintendo (video games), Blue Ocean (trading cards), Panini (sticker album, magazine and wall calendar), Pocket Jeunesse (illustrated novels), Grund Edition (activity books), Kurokawa (manga) Sahinler (apparel and bed linens), Tennessee (back-to-school), Kaze (school planners) and Gulli Video (home video).

“Inazuma Eleven is becoming a phenomenon in France with its widely captivated fans,” says Aadil Tayouga, associate licensing manager EMEA, Viz Media. “The agreements we have forged with several leading licensees will bring a variety of fun and high-quality consumer products based on the best-selling football TV series. We look forward to working closely with all these licensees as we continue to develop Inazuma Eleven as a major franchise.”
