Vanguard Films has acquired the rights to produce a 26-part, sci-fi, action-adventure TV series based on the multi-media property “The Future is Wild.”

Under the deal, Vanguard Films will develop and produce the series as a multinational co-production.

Joanna Adams originally conceived “The Future is Wild” as a way to explain the concept of evolution and to explore the environmental changes that could affect the planet over the next 200 million years in an entertaining and educational way.

After the show’s success in 2002, the brand has been rolled out across various platforms including publishing, children’s entertainment, toys, games, theme park rides and more.
