Sid Kaufman, an award-winning licensing executive, is launching a licensing agency, Kaufman Licensing, and transitioning to a consulting role at United Talent Agency (UTA), where he previously served as vice president, licensing. Kaufman brings over 40 years of experience to this new venture. The agency will specialize in licensing advisory services, licensing representation, kids and family content development, retail development, ecommerce, thought leadership and social impact.
The company will leverage the extensive relationships and expertise Kaufman has cultivated throughout his career at UTA and previous roles at Lorimar Telepictures, Universal Studios and Nelvana where he has led licensing divisions. During his tenure at UTA, Kaufman collaborated with influential brands and artists in the entertainment and licensing industries, including “Blippi,” “Cocomelon,” Mariah Carey, Post Malone, Paris Hilton and Travis Kelce. The new agency aims to help brand owners and creators navigate the evolving retail and licensed products marketplace with innovative and strategic solutions.
