Lionsgate movie franchise inspires new activation at Halloween-themed event.

NORTH AMERICA–Lionsgate has teamed up with Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood to bring its horror film franchise Saw to life at the parks’ Halloween Horror Nights.

Beginning Sept. 15, guests will have the opportunity to take part in the “Saw: The Games of Jigsaw” maze and will come face-to-face with The Jigsaw Killer’s most infamous traps from the movie franchise, including the upcoming eighth installment Jigsaw.

“Saw is one of the top grossing horror film franchises, and we’re thrilled that the fan-favorite is making its return to Halloween Horror Nights,” says John Murdy, creative director, Universal Studios Hollywood, and executive producer, Halloween Horror Nights. “‘Saw: The Games of Jigsaw’ will encompass the greatest collection of traps featured in all eight Saw movies to bring to life the most twisted Saw maze ever produced, and we can’t wait for our fans to relive the moments from the films.”

The eighth installment of the horror film franchise, Jigsaw, is set to hit theaters on Oct. 27, 2017. The first Saw film originally debuted in 2004.
