Cartoon Network series inspires new live game show for the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Middle East, Poland, Spain and Turkey.

Turner EMEA has revealed that it will produce a new live game show based on the “Ben 10” franchise, titled “Ben 10 Challenge.”

The new series will feature two teams of three–two kid fans and one adult–to take on a range of physical and mental challenges, testing their speed and strength as well as other “Ben 10” villain-conquering skills. The game show will also test their knowledge of the series. After completing three contests, the team with the highest score will go into a final challenge against the clock.

The new series will be produced into eight local versions for France, Germany, Italy, Middle East, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the U.K. Production on “Ben 10 Challenge” will kick off in Madrid, Spain, at the end of the month in collaboration with La Competencia Productions.

“This live-action game show format really dials up engagement and excitement for the brand and perfectly complements our ‘Ben 10’ franchise strategy–kids will actually get the chance to become Ben,” says Lesley Bailey, vice president, channel marketing and brand management, Turner EMEA Kids. “This is what we heard from them and we’re thrilled to be giving 320 kids from right across the region the chance to take part. What’s more, the game show reinforces the importance of being locally relevant, and will be highly complementary to our wider ‘Ben 10’ content offering across the linear channel, websites, apps and games, and the highly-anticipated Playmates toy range that will be hitting shelves this summer.”

“Ben 10 Challenge” is scheduled to premiere in each respective market on Cartoon Network in late 2017.
