Character-inspired toy line from Bandai will launch next summer.

Toei Animation has tapped licensee Bandai to launch a new toy line inspired by its animated series “Dragon Ball Super.”

The new range will include a host of 3.5-inch, 6.5-inch and 7-inch action figures, collectible sets and role play items including the Deluxe Scouter and Deluxe Kamehameha Shooter.

“Bandai’s creative ambition is at full force with the release of their exciting ‘Dragon Ball Super’ catalogue,” says Masayuki Endo, president, Toei Animation. “The toys recognized the ‘Dragon Ball’ franchise’s long history and appeal to a wide variety of audiences and we look forward to aggressively building out the licensing component of this franchise.”

“Dragon Ball Super” reunites the franchise’s characters and follows the aftermath of Goku’s battle with Majin Buu as he attempts to maintain Earth’s fragile peace.

Bandai’s new toy line is slated to launch in the U.S. in summer 2017.
