El Ocho Licencias y Promociones and Starbright Licensing are on board to represent the latest “Dragon Ball” installment.

Toei Animation has appointed two new agents to represent the TV series “Dragon Ball Super” for licensing across Spain, Portugal and Italy.

El Ocho Licencias y Promociones has signed on to represent the brand in Spain and Portugal while Starbright Licensing has signed on in Italy. In addition to “Dragon Ball Super,” the agencies will also represent “Dragon Ball” and “Dragon Ball Z.”

“We are delighted to represent ‘Dragon Ball’ in the Spanish and Portuguese territories,” says Eva Rubira and Pilar Fernández–Vega, co-founder, El Ocho Licencias y Promociones. “We know very well the ‘Dragon Ball’ brand since the launch of the first series in Spain and we know it is a very successful brand, so we are sure that the new series, ‘Dragon Ball Super,’ will achieve a lot of success. All the team is very happy to be the agent of this amazing brand in Iberia.”

In addition to building a robust consumer products lineup for the new animated series, the licensing program for “Dragon Ball Super” will kick off with master toy partner Bandai.

“We are very excited about this opportunity of collaboration with Toei,” says Giada Paterlini and Isabella Barone, co-founders, Starbright Licensing. “‘Dragon Ball Super’ is one of the most interesting projects of the last years and we are confident that Italian consumers’ reactions will be extremely positive. ‘Dragon Ball’ is ready to conquer a new generation of consumers and we are very proud to represent Toei in Italy, hoping this is the beginning of a long-term partnership.”
