Classic anime series continues to expand in Europe with Those Licensing People and new products.

Toei Animation has tapped three new licensees to create merchandise and a concert event inspired by its animated series, “Dragon Ball Z.” The company has also appointed a new U.K. agent for the brand.

First the company has partnered with Undiz for a range of branded boxers and pajamas for men. The new collection will be available in the chain’s 120 stores across France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Poland, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrein and Saudi Arabia.

Viz Media Europe has also been tapped as a “Dragon Ball Super” licensee and will create a range of school diaries and 2017 annual calendars. The stationery items will be released under the Kaze brand and will be available in book stores, cultural stores and mass retailers in France and French-speaking Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, Overlook Events will produce Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure, an immersive concert event featuring music from “Dragon Ball” and “Dragon Ball Z.” The European premiere will take place May 6, 2017 at Le Grand Rex in Paris, France, with a 60-member orchestra performing alongside soloists and singers, as well as synchronized video and lighting.

Additionally, Toei Animation Europe has appointed Those Licensing People to represent “Dragon Ball” and “Dragon Ball Z” as a merchandising agent in the U.K. and Eire.

Those Licensing People will now work to bring the classic series to high-end market apparel, footwear, watches and jewelry.
