and Genius Brands International to launch a new property, titled “Stan Lee’s Cosmic Crusaders.”

The new property will launch in conjunction with


salute, “Stan Lee 75 Years in Business,” in the Comic-Con issue.

“Stan Lee’s Cosmic Crusaders” is an adult animated series based on a concept by Stan Lee, who will edit and voice himself as one of the series’ main characters. The series will follow Lee as he meets seven aliens who have crash-landed in the U.S. Each alien has superhero powers, however, each can only use their power in the context of their homeland. After offering the aliens sanctuary, Lee helps the aliens learn how to access and use their powers as superpowers on Earth.

The first four episodes of the new series will premiere exclusively on, with one episode airing each day during San Diego Comic-Con 2016, July 21-24.

This is the first series to launch on and will be promoted through its YouTube channel, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Additionally, a global consumer products program will be introduced by GBI. The company has already tapped Hot Topic to launch the brand under a direct-to-retail apparel and accessories program in stores and online in conjunction with the webisode launch at Comic-Con.
