The Lumistella Company Announces Formation of New Management Team
Holiday-themed company readies for continued expansion with key senior leadership appointments.

The Lumistella Company, home of The Elf on The Shelf brand, has announced a strategic management team comprising new and existing senior leaders. The sectional leaders will design and oversee the implementation of core strategies to drive the evolution of Lumistella into a global IP company focused on bringing Santa’s North Pole to the world through consumer products, entertainment and immersive experiences.
The management team will focus on building platforms to prepare the company for rapid global expansion and execution on blue-chip partnerships.

Each team member brings not only deep experience, but also a valued skill set and fresh perspective, which will prove to be essential as we continue to expand our offerings and establish new partnerships globally.”
The team will report to Champion and further support The Lumistella Company’s executive board, which includes Christa Pitts and Chanda Bell, co-founders and co-chief executive officers. Management team members will include:
Regan Holroyd, chief operating officer, joined The Lumistella Company in 2012 and leads the administrative operations functions including finance, human resources, facilities, administration and philanthropy. Holroyd, also a member of the company’s executive board and chair of the leadership team, brings more than a decade of tenure with The Lumistella Company, and most recently, has played a key role in the reorganization of the business to support its continued growth and expansion.
Jon Blake, senior vice president, general counsel, joined The Lumistella Company in 2020 and leads the legal, brand protection and compliance functions. He deploys strategies to protect the company’s intellectual property, addressing infringement and counterfeiting and ensuring compliance with the complex rules and regulations related to doing business globally. Most recently, Blake was chief legal officer and corporate secretary for the Angelica Corporation.
Julie Christopher, senior vice president, global marketing, is an award-winning brand marketer with prior roles at HarperCollins Publishers, Simon & Schuster and Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne). She joined Lumistella in 2021 and leads the global marketing function including consumer, corporate, entertainment and branded experiences, international and retail marketing teams and digital media and marketing content.
Andrea Esposito, senior vice president, creative, leads Lumistella’s creative team including product design, packaging, licensing, illustration, design and animation. Prior to joining Lumistella, Esposito was creative director for Peachtree Playthings, branding and developing product lines for children’s craft activities, toys and stationery for its original brands and designing programs for licensed products from companies such as Disney, Warner Brothers and Nickelodeon.
Tom Hall, senior vice president, chief information officer, is an IT veteran collaborating with companies ranging from privately held to Fortune 500. Stepping into the newly created role in July 2021, Hall is responsible for leveraging technology to transform the way Lumistella does business, while driving efficiencies in all processes and ensuring the company’s security programs protect consumers, customers, partners and the corporate environment.
Ilango Sankaralingam, senior vice president, consumer products, joined Lumistella in August as the newest member and leads the consumer products division with an emphasis on growing global sales and streamlining the supply chain. Sankaralingam founded Smart Play, an educational toy company and was also the chief operating officer at Kids II.
