DHX Brands has appointed nine new licensees to develop products based on the children’s television series “Teletubbies.”

CPLG North America, the brand’s licensing agent, brokered the deal.

First, this spring, Built Games will launch “Teletubbies Play Time,” an interactive mobile app for children that will aim to promote early learning while engaging users and developing their senses and motor skills. The app will include a see-and-say feature that utilizes the latest voice recognition technology to help grow children’s vocabulary.

Additional U.S. licenses include: Bladez Toyz for ancillary toys; Fiesta Toys for arcade/amusement; HW2 for eyewear; John GmbH for outdoor toys; High Point for children’s hosiery; Milestone for live events; Edgewell Personal Care Brands for infant accessories; and Silvertop Associates for costumes.
