DHX Brands has appointed six North American licensees as it readies a regional consumer products program for the new "Teletubbies" series.

Spin Master has been named North American master toy partner for the brand, in a series of deals brokered by licensing agent CPLG North America.

Other new additions include Accessory Innovations for bags, backpacks and headwear; SG Company for footwear; Franco Manufacturing for juvenile bedding; and Betesh for toddler bedding. Additionally, VTech has extended its current ELA deal into North America, building on its existing deal for the U.K., France, Germany, Benelux, Iberia, Australia and New Zealand.

The rebooted series will debut on Nick Jr. in the U.S. in 2016 and on Family Jr. in Canada in early January. The series premiered on CBeebies in the U.K. this fall.

CPLG North America is currently in advanced negotiations on various other product categories as well.

“U.K. ratings since launch have been very strong, so we are excited to be rolling out our licensing program in North America in 2016 with such great partners on board,” says Peter Byrne, executive vice president, DHX Brands.
