DHX Media’s new and classic “Teletubbies” series is heading to Italy, thanks to Italian broadcaster Rai.

The deal will see Rai’s preschool channel Rai YoYo air DHX’s brand new “Teletubbies” (60x12) series (which is currently in production), as well as seasons 1 through 14 of the classic show.

“This deal with Rai and recent sales in the U.S. and France underscore the considerable appetite globally for ‘Teletubbies,’” says Josh Scherba, senior vice president, distribution, DHX Media. “That broadcasters are keen to snap up both the new and classic series highlights that this is a property with enduring appeal, poised to win a new generation of fans.”
