Technicolor's 'The Deep' Gets Master Toy

Simba Toys will release its extensive toy range for the animated series in the third quarter of 2018.

EUROPE–Technicolor has appointed Simba Toys to serve as the master toy licensee for its animated series “The Deep.”

CPLG, the series’ licensing agent, brokered the deal.

Simba Toys’ initial toy range for “The Deep” will include a variety of figures, play sets, role play toys and accessories. The collection will later be expanded to include outdoor, die-cast and RC vehicles, as well as wheeled toys.

“‘The Deep’ is a top-rated animated series in several countries already and expanding in others rapidly,” says Werner Lenzner, licensing and strategic development manager, Simba Dickie Group. “We are looking forward to developing this exciting property together with Technicolor into a strong global license by creating an exciting and interactive toy range. The key elements of these undersea adventures such as action, cool vehicles, animals and good versus evil, fit perfectly for the target group of kids 6-9 years.”

The first toys from Simba Toys are slated to roll out at retail in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the U.K. and Nordics in the third quarter of 2018.
