Stan Lee Teams for New TV Series

Comic book legend Stan Lee has partnered with Carnival Films, the production company behind "Downton Abbey," to create a mystery crime drama for the U.K.'s Sky 1 network.

The broadcaster has commissioned 10 60-minute episodes of "Lucky Man," which will star James Nesbitt as DI Harry Clayton, a member of the London-based Murder Squad who is gifted the ability to control luck.

Suffering from consistent bad luck–his wife has left him, his boss thinks he’s in league with the devil and he's in debt to an underworld crime boss–Clayton's life is changed when a mysterious woman gives him a bracelet that enables him to control luck.

Sky 1 director Adam Macdonald calls "Lucky Man," which will air in 2016, a “visually striking crime thriller.”

Carnival will produce the series in association with Lee’s Pow! Entertainment, and NBC Universal International Television Distribution will sell the show globally.
