Sprout has launched the new digital service Sprout NOW, which gives subscribers access to its content anywhere, anytime, on any device.

The launch marks the network’s larger rollout across NBCUniversal, which acquired full ownership of the channel in November 2013.

Through either the new “Sprout NOW” app or website, preschoolers and their families will be able to access all of their favorite Sprout series, including original programming like “The Chica Show” and gold standard series including “Sesame Street.”

The “Sprout Now” app launched Wednesday for iOS devices and an Android version is planned for later this year.

“Sprout was originally conceived as a multi-platform destination for preschoolers and their caregivers, and it’s always been a cornerstone of our strategy to ensure our series and content are available wherever families are,” says Sandy Wax, president, Sprout. “Sprout NOW delivers on our commitment to provide Sprout’s much-loved programming anytime and anyplace.”

In other news from the preschool network, Sprout’s newest live-action series “Zerby Derby” will make its U.S. premiere on Saturday during “The Sunny Side Up Show,” Sprout’s live daily morning show.

“Zerby Derby,” which is produced and distributed by Breakthrough Entertainment, in association with TVO Kids, follows a group of pint-sized, remote-controlled cars that live and play in a life-size forest.

Sprout is supporting the launch of Zerby Derby at SproutOnline.com with three new games produced by Breakthrough Entertainment.
