Themed costumes and accessories are slated to hit retail ahead of the Halloween season.
Genius Brands International has partnered with Spirit Halloween to create a direct-to-retail costume and accessories program for its music-driven tween brand “SpacePOP.”
“Spirit Halloween looks to create programs that capitalize on market trends and satisfy the demands of our wide-ranging guests,” says Eric Morse, divisional vice president, licensing, marketing and product development, Spirit Halloween. “‘SpacePOP,’ with its mix of music, fashion and fun, makes it a brand we’re excited to be in partnership with and eager to develop costume and accessories around.”
Through the partnership, Spirit Halloween will design and manufacture the first line of “SpacePOP”-branded character costumes and accessories, which are slated to debut at approximately 1,200 retail locations throughout the U.S. and Canada this August.
“‘SpacePOP’ is an ideal fit for character costumes and accessories, and Spirit Halloween will give the brand a tremendous boost of exposure at the retail level,” says Stone Newman, president, worldwide content sales, global consumer products and marketing, Genius Brands International. “We’re very much looking forward to working with Spirit Halloween on creating a variety of accessories and costumes for ‘SpacePOP’ fans in 2017 and beyond.”
