NORTH AMERICA—Legacy Records, Sony Music’s archive subsidiary, has partnered with Doubleday & Cartwright and Only NY for a high-tech apparel collection that celebrates the late jazz artist Miles Davis.

The collection is inspired by the life, music and impact of Davis and will feature original artwork designed by Doubleday& Cartwright, sourced from Sony’s vintage assets, on hats, totes, t-shirts, hoodies and more.

Furthermore, through a partnership with music identification app “Shazam,” each product will feature a unique “hang tag” that when “shazammed” will lead purchasers to custom music playlists inspired by Davis, which were created by celebs such as Don Cheadle, Terrace Martin, DJ Dahi, H.E.R. and more.

The line follows Sony’s recent release of a new Miles Davis x John Coltrane album, “The Final Tour: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 6,” slated for release in March 2018

The collaboration will launch at an in-store event at the Only NY store and will feature live renditions of Davis’ most famous work, performed by contemporary jazz giant Keyon Harrold and friends
