Sony Pictures Consumer Products has appointed Rocket Licensing as its new licensing agent to manage its portfolio of theatrical and television properties in the U.K. and Eire.

Sony Pictures Consumer Products has appointed Rocket Licensing as its new licensing agent to manage its portfolio of theatrical and television properties in the U.K. and Eire.

“We are thrilled to have Rocket as part of the Sony team. They have a strong presence and amazing relationships in this industry and we look forward to seeing the success of this partnership and our brands,” says Gregory Economos, senior vice president, global consumer products, Sony.

The partnership will kick-off with a licensing program celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film Ghostbusters next year, as well as expand categories for the TV series “Breaking Bad.” Rocket will also manage additional Sony properties such as Fantasy Island, The Karate Kid, Bewitched, Taxi Driver, Starsky & Hutch, Charlie’s Angels and the forthcoming 2015 film Hotel Transylvania 2.
