Sony’s interactive exhibit will utilize the company’s haptic technology, which recreates the sense of touch through vibrations.

The new experience will see visitors put on 3D glasses and a haptic vest, which recreates the sense of touch by producing dynamic and expressive vibrations; pick a character for the game; and get “dropped” into the jungle. From there, consumers will try face off against the animals of the jungle in order to retrieve a jewel that will protect from Jumanji from danger. Furthermore, as the player travels through the game, the haptic vest will allow them to feel the stones, branches and coconuts the animals throw at them to slow their pursuit.
The
Jumanji
-inspired exhibit will be open at Sony Square NYC until January 8, 2018. Sony Square NYC is located at 25 Madison Ave. and is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
