Planeta Junior has signed a licensing agreement between IMPS – owners of The Smurfs license – and Aguas Danone for licensed Font Vella water bottles.

Themed around summer holidays and the back-to-school rush, the licensed Font Vella water bottles are available across Spain and Portugal and feature both individual and six-pack bottle designs with key characters from The Smurfs brand.

“We are very happy that Planeta Junior trusts us to carry the image of The Smurfs on our Font Vella Kids bottles,” says Rodrigo Liébana, head, marketing, Danone Waters. “These ‘The Smurfs’ collections are an example of our commitment to associating drinking water with fun through the favorite characters of the little ones, and not so little ones”

“It's been a real pleasure working on this collaboration between two iconic brands like The Smurfs and Danone - Font Vella, which share the same values including: environmental protection and bringing happiness,” says Gregory Pierron, category manager, publishing, promotions, Planeta Junior. “The customized artworks based on back-to-school and holiday themes will delight modern parents who grew up with The Smurfs, and their children.”

“The Smurfs” will return with a new CGI animated series for 5–10-year-olds, premiering worldwide in 2022.
