Cookie Monster, Elmo, Big Bird and the rest of the "Sesame Street" neighborhood celebrated the 45th anniversary of the iconic television show Monday. 

As the longest-running children’s television series in history, domestic and international versions of “Sesame Street” have reached 156 million children worldwide in 150 countries.
