New marine-based theme park is set to open in the United Arab Emirates by 2022.

SeaWorld Entertainment has teamed with Miral to develop SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, a first-of-its-kind marine life theme park on Yas Island.

The new theme park will include a raft of up-close animal experiences, attractions and an aquarium, as well as the latest technology in visitor engagement. The park will also be the first new SeaWorld without orcas.

In addition to the park, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will also include the United Arab Emirates’ first dedicated marine life research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center.

This project presents an opportunity for collaboration and greater understanding of how species have adapted to the region's unique marine environment, and to inspire the next generation of visitors, conservationists and animal care experts."

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is set to open by 2022.
