Hello Kitty celebrated both her and UGG's 40th anniversaries at the footwear company's Gold Coast factory before heading to the Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art for the opening of the new Future Beauty exhibition.

Bringing together 30 years of Japanese fashion from the Kyoto Costume Institute, the Future Beauty exhibition features a Hello Kitty installation in the main entrance.

The arrival of Tsuji and Yamaguchi also coincided with the launch of the first Australian Hello Kitty Café, which opened in Adelaide over the weekend.
