NORTH AMERICA–Saban Brands and Jakks Pacific have extended their long-term licensing agreement for Saban’s superhero property “Power Rangers.”
The updated, multi-year agreement will grant the toy manufacturer the exclusive rights to manufacture, market and distribute adult and kids Halloween costumes, accessories and dress-up items based on the “Power Rangers” TV series and Power Rangers live-action films in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Jakks will also have the rights to develop toys such as ride-ons, ball pits, indoor furniture and other seasonal categories in the U.S. and Canada.
“We are thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with Saban Brands for its legendary superhero franchise,” says Tara Hefter, senior vice president, global licensing, Jakks Pacific. “For 22 years, our line of costumes and everyday dress up have inspired and ‘morphed’ fans into feeling like a superhero. Our new line of seasonal products will bring to life Power Rangers in new ways for fans of all ages to enjoy.”
