Classic Christmas characters expands product lineup ahead of the holiday season.

Rocket Licensing has tapped a host of new U.K. licensees for merchandise inspired by Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The agency manages the U.K. consumer products program for the works of Dr. Seuss on behalf of Dr. Seuss Enterprises.

The new partners include Dreamtex for bedding; IG Design Group for Christmas gift wrap; BCI for kids’ nightwear; Brand International Group for adult and kids’ footwear; and Misirli for a line of socks at Tesco.

“The Grinch is a classic timeless brand and the resident grouch of Whoville has now become an icon for the Christmas season,” says Rob Wijeratna, joint managing director, Rocket Licensing. “The appeal of the brand is board and not only a big hit among parents and gift buyers, but now also with teens and young adults who are drawn to the Grinch’s anti-holiday spirit and edgy humor. We’re confident that these latest partnerships will sustain the Grinch’s position as a perennial Christmas brand.”

The new branded collections will be available at a host of high-street retailers including Topshop, Primark, New look and Matalan in additional to grocers Tesco and Asda this holiday season.

“The remarkable popularity of the Grinch in the U.K., coupled with Rocket’s expertise in finding the ideal licensing and retail partners for our properties, is the perfect combination for success,” says Susan Brandt, president, licensing and marketing, Dr. Seuss Enterprises. “We look forward to seeing these wonderful new products hit shelves this Christmas and to continue driving our business forward in what is a particularly key market for the treasured Dr. Seuss catalogue.”
