Rocket Licensing has launched a U.K. licensing program for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Columbia Pictures’ RoboCop, which premieres worldwide this month.

The film, which will debut in the U.K. Friday, will be complemented by a number of categories including toys, games, apparel and accessories, collectibles, dress up, interactive, publishing, posters, gifts and novelties.

The RoboCop campaign will also include classic output such as posters, aimed at fans of the original 1987 film.

“RoboCop has remained an iconic figure since the first film’s release,” says Charlie Donaldson, joint managing director, Rocket Licensing. “Now, with its stunning modern digital effects, amazing technology and brilliant cast, we truly have a RoboCop for the 21st century–and one with enormous licensing potential.”
