The German free-to-air children’s channel KiKA has picked up ZDF Enterprises’s preschool series “Q Pootle 5.”

The German free-to-air children’s channel KiKA has picked up ZDF Enterprises’s preschool series “Q Pootle 5” (52 x 11), which is produced in the U.K. by Snapper Productions and is based on the books by popular children’s author and illustrator Nick Butterworth.

The series follows the adventures of the friendly alien Q Pootle 5 and his friends, Oopsy as they tackle the everyday problems of the final frontier.

Rocket Licensing manages the U.K. licensing campaign for the series which already features tie-publishing from Walker Books, children’s stationery from Blue Sky Designs, slots in Immediate Media’s CBeebies Weekly and Toybox magazines, standalone magazines from Egmont, games and puzzles from Jumbo, accessories from VMC and character costumes from Rainbow Productions.
