Classic French series inks new deals and initiatives for its 30th anniversary.

Following the launch of a revamped TV series on France 4 in March, new products slated to hit the market include a comic book from Editions Soleil and two documentary books from Fleurus Jeunesse.
Additional products set to launch in France as the brand fetes its 30th anniversary include DVDs from Sony Music; an encyclopedia from Hachette; an official stamp from La Poste; and charms from Alcara. Educa Borras will also develop a range of “Hello Maestro” products for France and Belgium including a “Once Upon a Time…Life” board game, puzzles and mini games, which will hit the market in the latter half of 2017.
Beyond France, licensees include Hippocampus for puzzles, preschool games, DVDs and an encyclopedia in Poland; Mano for publishing in Hungary; DeAgostini for publishing in Italy; and Editions Soleil for a comic book
“We are always seeking more ways in which families can connect with Maestro and friends beyond their screens, and we’re thrilled to be rolling out our licensing program in 2017 with such great partners on board. We will be at Nuremberg Toy Fair and the Kidscreen Summit to have further discussions with potential partners as we look to extend the reach of the brand in this exciting year.”
Additionally, in September, the “Once Upon a Time…Life” brand will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a dedicated live show in Paris as well as a host of digital initiatives and a dedicated marketing plan.
