Saban’s Power Rangers are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving in the New York area this year, with a series of events that will culminate in the official public debut of the new Megaforce during the 87th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Thursday.

The Power Rangers started the Thanksgiving festivities Saturday at The Scholastic Store where they invited kids from The Pajama Program, a charity that provides pajamas for kids in need, to catch a special screening of a never-before-seen episode of “Power Rangers Megaforce.” Kids also got the chance to take pictures with the Power Rangers, learn how to train like a Ranger and check out Power Rangers Megaforce books.

On Sunday, the Power Rangers Megaforce headed to Macy’s Herald Square for a meet-and-greet.

Tomorrow, they will visit an after-school program that partners with City Harvest, an organization that provides food to the city’s residents, for the Fruit Bowl program. Fruit Bowl introduces preschool and after-school students to a regular supply of fresh produce and low-fat dairy and nutrition education. At the event, the Power Rangers will take photos and teach the students how to put their core values of teamwork, confidence, health and physical activity into action.

To conclude the week of festivities, Saban’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce will make their TV debut during a special performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will air on NBC Thursday.

The new season, “Power Rangers Super Megaforce” will premiere on Nickelodeon next year.

“We are excited to bring joy to children and families this Thanksgiving season while also joining forces with many great partners to give back to the community,” says Elie Dekel, president, Saban Brands. “The Power Rangers are known for keeping the world safe while emphasizing the importance of teamwork and helping others. We look forward to celebrating these core values with our fans throughout the holiday season.”
