"Pokémon" is on the comeback trail in India this summer on syndication on Hungama TV in a deal brokered by licensing agency Dream Theatre.

Since airing back in May backed by a strong programming and promotion strategy, “Pokémon” has 57.1 million viewers across India (of which 24.2 million audiences are kids), according to Dream Theatre, and ranked No. 1 in its slot every week since launch.

Dream Theatre is also securing licensees across multiple categories for “Pokémon,” spanning toys, plush, apparel, back to school and others scheduled to be in stores by January 2015.
