The toy manufacturer’s first action figure range for girls will also include Topps trading cards to unlock quests in the brand’s digital app.

NORTH AMERICA–Nelvana and Playmates Toys have released a new toy line based on the animated action series “Mysticons” at select Toys ‘R’ Us locations nationwide.

The expansive toy line features Playmates’ first action figures designed specifically for girls, as well as an assortment of flying creatures, plush and role play items. Highlights from the toy line include the core action figure assortment, which includes 7-inch figures of Arkayna, Zarya, Em and Piper, as well as other characters and villains from the series; a 7-inch Choko plush; a Battle Gear assortment, which will allow girls to become their favorite Mysticons warrior and includes the heroes’ signature weapon, avatar creature bracer and mask. In addition, each of the action figures will include a branded Topps trading card with a unique code to unlock quests in the brand’s digital app.

Produced by Nelvana, “Mysticons” tells the epic tale of four girls from different walks of life who are transformed into legendary warriors. After discovering a mystical tome, the foursome–Arkayna, Zarya, Em and Piper–are drawn together by a prophecy to battle evil and protect the realm. The series premiered on Nickelodeon in August 2017.
