Entertainment One has named Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana as the exclusive licensing and branding agent in Canada for its preschool brand "Peppa Pig."

Entertainment One has named Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana as the exclusive licensing and branding agent in Canada for its preschool brand "Peppa Pig."

eOne is planning to dramatically expand “Peppa Pig's” footprint in North America with a wide-ranging consumer products initiative that will roll out to mass market stores across the region beginning in fall 2016.

The broad-scale licensing program will include numerous categories including apparel, footwear, home goods, greeting cards, health and beauty aids, mobile phone accessories and confectionery products.

Among the licensees already on board are Jazwares (master toy partner), Revolution (bed and bath products), JCorp (children’s apparel), Black and White (footwear and belts), Calego (luggage, backpacks and totes), Amscan (party goods), Candlewick Press (jacketed hard cover, trade paperback and novelty books), Imagine Publications (French-language publishing, coloring and activity books), The Canadian Group (games and puzzles) and Primary Colors (packaged fruit snacks, candy, cookies and crackers and assorted stationery products).

In addition, eOne will begin distributing “Peppa Pig” DVDs in Canada beginning in 2016. The series currently airs on Treehouse.

The “Peppa Pig” North America branding initiative also will include consumer promotions, costume characters appearances (managed by Daytime Enterprises), a website, social media presence and two free apps that are now available on all platforms.
