Silvergate Media is developing a brand-new, live theater show for its preschool adventure property Octonauts, in conjunction with production company Fiery Light.

The live show will hit U.K. theaters in fall 2014, and marks the first time the property will be hitting the stage in a full-length production. Previously, Octonauts toured in a series of mini-shows across Westfield malls in the U.K. and U.S.

“The world of the Octonauts is rich and multi-faceted with distinct, loveable characters that children will be thrilled to see brought to life,” says Lesli Zador, vice president, brand and marketing, Silvergate Media. “The success of the mini-shows at Westfield confirms that there is a definite desire for a live theatrical offering.”

“Octonauts is all about adventure and exploration which offers up a whole host of possibilities in a live environment,” says Richard Lewis, show director, Fiery Light. “From the colorful characters and fantastic underwater setting to the amazing Octopod where the Octonauts live, there’s great scope for a really unique, interactive theatre experience. We can’t wait to take young fans on an adventure like never before.”
