The oldest symphony orchestra in the country, the New York Philharmonic, has appointed Remarkable Brands as its worldwide licensing agent.

Under the three-year deal, Remarkable Brands plans to bring the 173-year-old institution to a wider audience with products for both adults and children.

The agency is planning a two-tiered licensing program for the orchestra that will initially include home décor, high-end accessories, books, artwork and calendars for adults, as well as musical instruments, books and posters for children.

“The New York Philharmonic has an amazing and comprehensive archive of documents, music and images dating back to its founding in 1842, and we are excited about the opportunity to share this treasure-trove with consumers via products they can use and enjoy everyday,” says Reiner, president, Remarkable Brands. “We’re thrilled to be working with the Philharmonic to preserve and further the iconic brand’s legacy, as well as share the rich history and tradition of the orchestra’s collections for generations to come.”
