NVCP has secured a number of new licensing and live events deals for the Nickelodeon brand in Europe, Asia and Africa.

A new deal with Plastic Republic will see Nickelodeon water filters launch across Russia featuring "Dora the Explorer" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." The water filters will complement the range of Plastic Republic homewares that have been on sale in Russia since 2013 including kids’ desks, toy cases, bins and flower pots.

Nickelodeon will also host a number of branded events across international markets this month.

In Singapore, the Nickelodeon Slime Cup 2015 will be held Saturday and Sunday. Presented by Singtel TV and sponsored by Pilot Pen and Vitagen Less Sugar, with venue partner Downtown East, the free-play event will promote active living through fun for kids and their families. This year’s event will be augmented with a host of activities inspired by the SEA Games (Southeast Asian Games) in Singapore this week.

Also taking place at Downtown East in Singapore this month, Nickelodeon will be launching the first ever Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo Experience event. Families and kids can explore the training grounds and participate in a series of secret ninja activities from now until June 28.

In the Netherlands and Germany, Nickelodeon will host its Day of PlayThe initiative–part of Nickelodeon's global commitment to promoting health and wellness to its young audiences–will be celebrated locally on June 10 and June 19.

Across both markets, Nickelodeon will be switching off linear and digital platforms between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m, to encourage kids to put down their tablets, turn off the TV and get outside and get active.

The network will also be hosting multiple fitness-themed public events across both countries, partnering with over 100 schools to encourage outdoor play, with community members and organizations hosting smaller events across the countries.

Finally, in Johannesburg, Nickelodeon is teaming up with Tsogo Sun and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust to stage the first-ever NickFest in at The Globe at Silverstar on June 13 and 14.
