CPLG has signed on to represent the iconic music brand ahead of its 100th album release next year.

EUROPE–Now Music has appointed CPLG to serve as the European licensing agent for the music compilation brand “Now That’s What I Call Music.”

CPLG will now work to develop a robust licensing program for the iconic music brand that spans apparel, accessories and publishing.

The first “Now That’s What I Call Music” products are expected to launch later this year.

“It’s with great pleasure that we enter into this relationship,” says Maarten Weck, managing director, CPLG Northern Europe. “Now has great heritage and is an iconic music brand across a very broad target group. We look forward to working together with Now Music to produce a broader consumer product offering and expand the brand awareness.”

“Now That’s What I Call Music” debuted in 1983 and is known for showcasing the biggest chart hits of the seasons as well as its iconic album covers. In 2018, the brand will mark its 35th anniversary as well as launch its 100th album release.

“Now Music is excited to have representation in this area of branded merchandise,” says Steve Pritchard, co-managing director, Now Music. “With the current level of interest in the brand, nostalgia for different musical eras (‘Nowstalgia’) and the 100th edition of Now due next summer, we are hopeful that this deal can deliver good business for us all.”
