The children’s network is bringing a custom slime-uator and slime-themed activities to shopping centers across the U.K.
EUROPE–Nickelodeon has teamed up with shopping center developer Intu for a limited activation inspired by the network’s iconic slime.
The three-week activation will offer children the chance to be slimed at Intu properties including Intu Trafford Centre, Intu Lakeside and Intu Metrocentre, and will consist of activities such as customizable slime stations, slime tattoos, slime coloring walls and slime photo booths. Visiting families will also have the chance to win a VIP family ticket to Nickelodeon’s Slimefest 2018 in the U.K.
The campaign follows last year’s collaborations between Nickelodeon and Intu, which saw the retail destination host experiences featuring “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Paw Patrol’s” Chase and Marshall.
“We’re looking to replicate the success of last Easter’s campaign with Nickelodeon when 8,000 people registered to meet 'Paw Patrol' at Intu centers and 180,000 people visited Intu’s event pages,” Roger Binks, director, customer experience, Intu.
The slime-ulator machine will be touching down at Intu shopping locations, March 24 to April 15.
