The network will also create a docu-style special inspired by the teen star.
Nickelodeon has signed JoJo Siwa, a social media influencer and star on the TV series “Dance Moms,” for an overall talent deal, including consumer products, promotions and more.
The entertainment company has already commenced development on an exclusive line of consumer products inspired by the social media star, and is currently in the process of securing merchandising and promotional partners across apparel, home furnishings, toys, accessories, publishing and more.
Additionally, as part of the overall talent deal, Nickelodeon has greenlit a new docu-style special that will give viewers an inside look into Siwa’s world and follow her on a new journey “full of surprises with the help of some Nickelodeon friends.”
“JoJo’s an entrepreneur, her family is everything to her and she is happy just being a kid,” says Shelly Sumpter Gillyard, executive vice president, talent, music and events, Nickelodeon. “We have watched JoJo’s career as a real breakout talent and we knew when we met with her that our audience would welcome her as part of the Nickelodeon family.”
