Nickelodeon, part of Viacom International Media Networks, and Spain’s Parque de Atracciones de Madrid have extended their partnership with plans to open the first Nickelodeon-branded attraction in Spain, called Nickelodeon Land.

The partnership between Nickelodeon and Parque de Atracciones dates back to 2010’s multi-character Nickelodeon live show debut.

Nickelodeon Land at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid is planned to open in spring 2014. The branded area will feature interactive shows, rides, shops, games, food and plenty of green slime.

"Parque de Atracciones is not only the No. 1 amusement park in Spain, but also a popular destination for families in Spain," says Gerald Raines, vice president, Nickelodeon Recreation. "We’re very excited to expand our partnership and look forward to offering kids and families a unique Nickelodeon experience that features some of the most beloved characters in the world, including Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Nickelodeon Land in Madrid will join other Nickelodeon-branded attractions and parks around the world including Nickelodeon Universe in Minneapolis' Mall of America, SeaWorld on the Gold Coast of Australia, Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the U.K. and Movie Park Germany.
