NORTH AMERICA–Nickelodeon, in partnership with the National Football League, hosted a series of kid-friendly activations over the weekend to celebrate Super Bowl LII.

On Wednesday, Jan. 31, Nickelodeon launched a series of specially produced content and interactive events aimed at young football fans in Minnesota. The live events were supported by specially produced content and coverage across the company’s Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and TeenNick channels.

Before the big game, Nickelodeon hosted an hour-long “Superstar Slime Showdown at Super Bowl” special that saw celebrities and athletes engage in football-themed physical challenges.

On-site activations included: JoJo Siwa performing her popular songs at NFL Play 60 Kids Day; a kids tailgate party; two slime booths, where athletes and lucky fans had the opportunity to get doused with Nick’s signature green slime and receive a shareable video of the experience; A “SpongeBob SquarePants”-themed football toss; photo opportunities with oversized “Loud House”-themed helmets and a “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” locker room; costumed characters; and a one-of-a-kind 40x80 interactive Nickelodeon destination at the Super Bowl experience.

Super Bowl LII took place on Sunday, Feb. 4 in Minnesota.

Pam Kaufman, chief marketing officer and president, consumer products, Nickelodeon, and Sijata Luther, executive vice president, consumer insights, Nickelodeon, will deliver the closing keynote address, entitled “The Story of Me – Insights into Kids Today,” at the NYC Licensing Summit, taking place Feb. 20 at the Times Square Convene Events venue in New York City. For more information, and to register, click here.
