Network's second Middle East reatil location open next year at one of the world's largest mall.

Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products is planning to open its 12th Nickelodeon retail store in Dubai in 2016.

The store will be based in one of the world’s largest shopping malls, Dubai Mall, which forms part of a 20 billion dollar downtown complex and includes more than 1,200 shops.

The Dubai store will be second Nickelodeon store to launch in the Middle East, following the opening of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in August 2013.

To date, Nickelodeon and its retail partner Entertainment Retail Enterprises have launched eleven retail stores and one online store in Panama, Honduras, Riyadh, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, and their U.K. Flagship in London’s Leicester Square, the first in Europe. The partners plan to open additional locations in 2016.

Following in the style of previous locations, the Nickelodeon Dubai store will offer a unique brand experience and personal touch point. With more than 3,200-square-feet of retail space, the store feature a host of top Nickelodeon properties including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol and more.

“Opening a store in one of the world’s biggest international centers is an incredibly exciting next step for Nickelodeon to continue to work together with world-class partner ERE, to further our collective mission to create engaging and enjoyable experiences around the world,” says Ron Johnson, executive vice president, NVCP.
