Nickelodeon has introduced a full slate of new animated and live-action series for 2013 that will include a Dora the Explorer spin-off and several new educational preschool programs.

In addition to announcing plans for a third season of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which closed out 2012 as the No. 1 new animated series among boys ages 2 to 11, the network is planning a series of new animated shows, including:

  • “Sanjay & Craig,” about a boy and his best friend, a snake;

  • “Breadwinners,” featuring two ducks that operate a bread delivery service out of a jet-fueled van;

  • “Rabbids,” based on the Ubisoft video game of the same name about a mysterious breed of rabbit-like creatures; and

  • “Monsters vs. Aliens,” inspired by the 2009 DreamWorks film.

Nick is also plan three new educational preschool series including its first literacy show for that age set, “Wallykazam!,” the first-ever preschool series dedicated to the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum, “Blaze and the Monster Machines,” and the new spin-off “Dora and Friends.”

New live-action comedy series will include “The Haunted Hathaways,” about a family living in a haunted house, and “The Thundermans,” which will follow the sibling rivalry between twins in a family of superheroes.
