SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer debut brand's first Asian attraction.

Sunway and Viacom International Media Networks have opened the first Nickelodeon-themed attraction in Asia, the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon in Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia.

The new theme park boasts 14 attractions featuring the studio's top properties such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer as well as interactive play areas, waterslides, retail shops, games, a multitude of food service establishments and more.

Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon is a joint initiative between VIMN and Sunway Group, adding to Sunway Lagoon’s five existing parks.

“Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon will enable kids and families in Malaysia and around Southeast Asia to connect with our brand and Nickelodeon’s iconic characters in a unique and meaningful way that will further deepen their relationship with Nickelodeon,” says Mark Whitehead, executive vice president and managing director, VIMN Asia. “Sunway Lagoon’s expertise has made them an ideal partner, and we are delighted to make it Nickelodeon’s Asia debut as we further expand the Nickelodeon brand in the region.”
