Nickelodeon has signed a raft of new distribution deals in Northern Europe for its top series such as “Dora the Explorer,” “Penguins of Madagascar,” “Big Time Rush” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

Denmark’s free-to-air public broadcaster DR has acquired seasons one and two of “Dora the Explorer” for its preschool channel Ramasjang, as well as “Penguins of Madagascar” seasons two and three, “Big Time Rush” seasons one to three and “iCarly” season four for its children’s channel Ultra.

In Scandinavia, Norway’s public service broadcaster NRK added “Kung Fu Panda” seasons one and two, “Big Time Rush” season three and “iCarly” seasons four and five.

RUV in Iceland has signed for the preschool series “Robot & Monster,” which is launching for international syndication at MIPTV, as well as season two of “Bubble Guppies,” “Team Umizoomi” and “Kung Fu Panda.” 

Sweden’s public service broadcaster SVT has bought “Penguins of Madagascar” season three.

MTV3 in Finland has acquired season one of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Switzerland’s French-language broadcaster TSR has also signed an animation deal that includes “Legend of Korra” season one, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” season three, “Penguins of Madagascar” seasons two and three, season two of “Kung Fu Panda” and “Bubble Guppies” and seasons one and two of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
