Nickelodeon has launched a new immersive iPad platform for kids that features more than 1,000 pieces of Nick content.

Available now for free in the U.S., the new “Nick App” features original short-form video, games, behind-the-scenes clips, photos from Nick stars, polls and newly created games. Full-length episodes of top shows will also be available through participating TV providers. Nick will add new content to the app daily.

The app will be rolled out on other platforms in the coming months and Nick is also planning a preschool version for later this year.

"The ‘Nick App’ creates a new platform unlike anything else available to kids today," says Steve Youngwood, executive vice president and general manager, digital, Nickelodeon Group. "The ‘Nick App’ is the one place where kids can watch and play Nickelodeon and experience the complete fun and funny of our brand, wherever and whenever they want."
