Nex Playground Unveils New Holiday Game Lineup

Games featuring characters from DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda,” “Barbie,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Sesame Street” and more.

Nex, a motion technology company, has unveiled its newest games set to be released this holiday season and through the new year on its award-winning Nex Playground active gaming console. The new games will include titles created in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, Mattel, Paramount Game Studios and Spin Master. They will join Nex’s existing games in collaboration with Hasbro, Sesame Workshop, Miraculous and Halfbrick’s Fruit Ninja. All games will incorporate body movements to play, as highlighted by the console’s elimination of traditional gaming controllers, making it accessible to all ages. The new holiday lineup includes: 

  • Universal Products & Experiences: DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda: Train Like a Master – Players learn to strike, kick and defend like the masters. Expected to launch this December. DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse Game – Players move, dance and experience an immersive cat-tastic Gabby’s Dollhouse playset. Expected to launch in January. 

  • Paramount: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Playground – A classic side-scrolling action motion game set in the Mutant Mayhem universe. Expected to launch this December. 

  • Sesame Workshop: Sesame Street: Move & Groove with Grover – Features Grover’s dance moves. Expected to launch this December.

  • Mattel: Barbie Dance Party – Expected to launch this December. 

  • Nex Originals: Arrow Party – Players aim and release at a flurry of targets across multiple arcade mini-games. Coming this month. 

Nex has also worked with IP partners to secure licenses for a compelling lineup of family-friendly brands for Playground and Play Pass in 2025, including: 

  • Universal Products & Experiences – DreamWorks Animation’s “How to Train Your Dragon” 

  • Universal Products & Experiences – Universal Pictures, DreamWorks Animation and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World: Chaos Theory 

  • Nickelodeon – “Dora the Explorer” 

  • Nickelodeon – “The Tiny Chef Show” 

  • Spin Master – “Unicorn Academy” 

  • Sesame Workshop – “Sesame Street’s” Cookie Monster
