Genius Brands International will launch the recreated Baby Genius brand at retail later this year, complete with two new licensees–Zak Designs and Manhattan Toy.

The new retail line is part of a brand re-launch that also includes new designs and new content offerings.

Zak Designs is developing a line of mealtime products for toddlers, including an assortment of sippy cups, plates, bowls and flatware.

Meanwhile, Manhattan Toy is creating a new line of Baby Genius soft toys and developmental toys. The toys target an age range of 0 to 36 months and will feature activity toys, wooden puzzles, puppets and play sets that will launch at retail in fall 2015.

Zak Designs and Manhattan Toy join other recently announced Baby Genius' licensees including LeapFrog Enterprises, which launched Baby Genius content on its line of kids' tech devices, and PBS Distribution, the new home entertainment distribution partner for the TV series.

"Baby Genius has always been a brand dedicated to engaging and enriching young children, and we believe there's an even greater opportunity now to provide 'content and products with a purpose,' which help to encourage and enrich all of the learning opportunities throughout a child's day, from feeding to bath time and bedtime," says Amy Moynihan Heyward, president, GBI.
