Nerd Corps Entertainment has added a slew of new licensees for its action property Slugterra in Italy, Latin America, Russia, Turkey, Israel and South Africa.

Nerd Corps and licensing agent Discovery Media will bring the property to trading cards and stickers in Italy following a new deal with Gedis. The toy line from Jakks Pacific will launch countrywide in 2014 through distributor Giochi Preziosi.

In Latin America, Nerd Corps’ agent Compañia Panamericana de Licencias has struck a deal with Panini to bring trading cards and stickers to Brazil, along with stickers in several territories across the region.

Megalicense, Nerd Corps’ agent in Russia, has brought Apps Ministry on board for a new iOS game that will be distributed worldwide. Apps Ministry will also localize Nerd Corps’ first iOS game “Slug it Out!” for the Russian market. The series debuted in Russia this month, and toys have launched through distributor Saks Igrushki.

Istanbul Lisans has signed on as Nerd Corps’ agent for Slugterra in Turkey, where two deals have been signed for back-to-school merchandise with Hakan Canta and Keskincolor. Slugterra toys will roll out across the region this fall through distributor Ottonya.

After the series launched on Noga in Israel in July, Nerd Corps’ agent in Israel, Brand Is Real, has secured a deal with Shoshi Zohar for Slugterra costumes and other dress-up products, which will follow on the heels of the Slugterra toy line, which launched in August through distributor Ilanit Toys Marketing.

In South Africa, agent Character Licensing & Marketing has inked a new deal with David Gresham Records to bring Slugterra to home video for the holiday season. The first shipment of Slugterra toys arrived at Toys ‘R’ Us and Toy Zone in August.

To date, Slugterra toys have launched in the U.S., the U.K., South Africa, Israel and Russia and will launch in eight new territories this fall: Brazil, Chile, Greece, the Middle East, Peru, Poland, Turkey and Venezuela. The toy line is set to launch in Canada, Croatia, Ecuador and Mexico in 2014. New product categories launching for the brand in 2014 include apparel, back-to-school, dress up, snacks, stationery, stickers and trading cards.
